Q: Where are these workshops being held?

A: In our effort to choose venues most conducive to learning, we have chosen two different venues for this series. Brent Atkinson will be at the Beckman Center at UCI and all other workshops will be held at the Newkirk Alumni Center at UCI.

Q: How’s the parking?

A: There are easy access parking lots adjacent to both venues. Parking is free at the Beckman Center. Parking at Newkirk is $10; there will be an attendant on hand so you won’t need to find a kiosk to pay your fee.

Q: Will my licensing agency accept these credits?

A: We are approved by the APA and the BBS. APA/MCEP The Foundation for the Contemporary Family is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. FFCF maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Courses approved by an APA-approved sponsor are accepted for MCEP credit by the Board of Psychology in California. Psychologists attending this seminar will receive an MCEP Credit Reporting Form to submit to the MCEP Accreditation Agency. BBS The Foundation for the Contemporary Family is approved by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences to provide continuing education for MFTs and LCSWs (PC E#2688).

Q: How many credit hours can I earn?

A: Each day of training earns you 6.5 CE hours. If you attend all 7 workshops, you can earn 45.5 CE hours.

Q: How much does the conference cost?

A: The Early Registration rate is $137. Regular Registration is $160. Group registrations are accepted for groups of 5 or more; the group rate is $130; there is no additional discount for groups who wish to attend all four workshops. Students and Interns are $130, but you must submit proof of your status (such as student ID or intern number) with your registration.

Q: How do I register?

A: You can register online. Select Register on any page and it will take you to the Registration page. From there, you can choose to continue to online registration. You can also download a registration form and return it to us via fax or regular mail.

Q: What about lunch?

A: Through a generous grant from the Foundation for the Contemporary Family, a delicious lunch is included at no cost to you, followed by an afternoon snack break. Coffee and tea will be provided throughout the day.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: Refunds must be requested in writing (email, fax, or postmarked) at least 15 days prior to the original course date. A withdrawal fee of $25 per person for each 1-day course applies. If you cancel after the deadline, you will receive credit toward another course only. Refunds are issued within 10 business days of the event.

A: Certificates will be issued at sign-out at the end of each day for APA and BBS.

Q: I have two licenses. Can I get two certificates?

A: If you are licensed by more than one agency, please let us know your license number for each. You can submit a copy of your certificate to each agency.
